JOIN ME ON MY CYCLING TOURS

Claire Hammel

Last year I bought a rode bike I've travelled all over New York and several other states. Friday Apr 5th 2024 (1yr 1 month later), I completed my 1st century - cycling 101 miles WOOHOO!!! YAY!!!

I’m training for a 280 mile Legacy Tour Memorial Day weekend 2024. Cycling from Harlem NY to Washington DC in honor of 5 black women who in 1928 completed journey.

1928-2024 Legacy Tour

The 1928 Legacy Tour celebrates and amplifies

Black women's legacy of athleticism, sisterhood, and adventure on bikes and in the outdoors.

It all began with five Black women in 1928 going on an epic 3-day bike tour from

Harlem to Washington, DC - challenging other women to make their journey in less time.

Marylou Jackson,  Velma Jackson,  Ethyl Miller,  Leolya Nelson, and  Constance White

set a challenge in 1928 - cycle 250 mi from Harlem, NY to Washington, DC.

Decades later, we’re riding to answer it.

To support the growth of this legacy, we are  Fundraising  to support

MKA's  youth bike giveaway, the Chocolate City Community Ride.

I would love your support! Memorial Day weekend 2024,

I will be cycling 300 miles in honor of the 1928 Legacy Tour.

This will be a 3-day cycling adventure from Harlem to Washington DC.
